Ernest Talmadge Pyle, 76, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on April 17, 2022. He was born on November 8, 1945 to the late Ralston and Ethel (Sutherland) Pyle. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Madelynn (Sandy) Pyle.
He retired from the railroad working for Baltimore and Ohio, which then became Chessie System (Chesapeake and Ohio) and ultimately CSX. He was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. Ernie was active in his children’s sports, such as coaching Little League. He was a big Buckeyes and Browns fan. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to others. He will be terribly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter Kimberly (Natheon Ashcraft) Pyle; sons Kenny and Ernest II; sister Sharon (Roger) Hixson; nephew Steve Grant; close friend Sue Clark; 8 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 25, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Schoedinger North, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery.
