Eugene Henry Botts

Eugene H. Botts, 99, of Gallipolis, formerly of Columbus, passed away on April 5, 2018. He was born on November 7, 1918 to Henry and Gertrude (Ardner) Botts. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Helen (Wisecarver) Botts; brothers Robert, Ronald and Donald Botts; and special friend Ruth Dillon

Eugene proudly served in the US Army, and was a member of VFW Lodge 2398 and Masonic Lodge 637. He worked for Commercial Motor Freight for over 40 years, and was a member of the Teamsters Union in Columbus. Eugene and Helen loved to bowl, play cards, and travel.

Eugene will be deeply missed by his daughter Sally J. (Richard B.) Roberts of Gallipolis; grandsons Larry J. (Rosa) Roberts of San Antonio, TX, Richard A. (Jozie) Roberts of Gallipolis; sister Catheline Whittredge of Ashville; great granddaughter Taylor Roberts of Texas; and great grandson Chris Roberts of Gallipolis; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, and one hour prior to his funeral service at 10:30am Tuesday, April 10, 2018 with Reverend John Girard officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist, 600 2nd Avenue, Gallipolis, Ohio 45631.
