Eugene Elden Clay

Eugene E. Clay, age 81, Sunday October 3, 2010. Veteran Korean War, Eugene is a member of the Whitehall American Legion Post 490 and VFW Post 8794. A 1949 graduate of Kitts Hill High School, where he was second team all state in basketball. An avid golfer, a favorite pastime was to play golf with his son Travis. He retired in 1993 from Mid State Bolt and Nut. He worked hard, played hard, loved his children and grandchildren! Eugene is survived by son Travis (Debbie) Clay, daughters: Tammy (Andy) Postel, (with whom he made his home), Pam Clay, Teresa (Rob) Pinnick, and Melissa Campbell; grandchildren: Tiffany (Chris) Mitchell, Adam and Fallon Bevins, Karly Clay, Megan, Samantha and Ryan Pinnick; great-grand-daughter Mia Mitchell, brothers: Oscar Clay, Dave (Pat) Clay and Bob (Stella) Clay sister Rose Morgan, nieces and nephews and other family. The family will receive friends 5-8pm Tuesday at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel 1051 East Johnstown Road (at Beecher Road) Gahanna, where the Funeral Service will be held at 12Noon, Wednesday October 6, 2010. Interment with military honors at Mifflin Township Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of VFW Post 490 in his memory.
