

Eugene K. Dixon of Upper Arlington, Ohio peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the age of 90. Eugene was born on May 27, 1927 in Weeksbury, Kentucky to Rachel C. Dixon and Eugene K. Dixon, and was the last of nine children. He spent most of his childhood in Pikeville, Kentucky until he joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17. He was a Seaman First Class in the South Pacific during World War II, was honorably discharged from service in 1946 and returned to Pikeville. There he met his wife of 69 years, Evelee Click, who he married at the age of 21 on May 6, 1949.
Eugene moved with Evelee to Columbus, Ohio in 1952 where they have lived for over 60 years. In 1959 he started his building company, Accurate Builders Inc., where he worked for over 20 years, and then continued in commercial construction work until his retirement. Eugene and Evelee joined the North Columbus Baptist Church in 1997 where they have been members since.
Eugene was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was funny, thoughtful, and caring. He was willing to do anything for anyone and had an unbelievable work ethic. He was truly loved by his family and friends. Eugene and Evelee are parents to two children, David Dixon and Crystal Binns, grandparents to Brittany Parker and Mackenzie Dixon, and great-grandparents to Gabriel Parker and Davon Ransom.
Services will be held on Friday May 04, 2018 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd. Visitation will begin at 10 A.M, with funeral services at 11 A.M., and graveside services immediately following at Union Cemetery of Columbus, Ohio.
