Eva Mae Thomas

Eva Mae Thomas, age 86, of Columbus, passed away January 10, 2013. She was born in Pearisburg, VA on November 15, 1926 to the late Nolin and Genevieve (Gautier) Farmer. Eva was retired from the Columbus Dispatch where she was a Quarter Century Club Member. She went on to become very active in her retirement. She enjoyed line dancing, volunteering with Meals on Wheels and Riverside Hospital, and faithfully attended McKendree United Methodist Church. She was a lovely lady, wonderful mother, and servant of the Lord. Eva is survived by her loving daughter, Sharon Thomas; loving cousin, Mike Gautier; and pet Yorkie, Bessie. She is preceded in death by her uncle, William and aunt, Helen Gautier. Family will receive friends Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 6-8 PM at the Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, Ohio where funeral service will be held 10 AM on Monday with Pastor Nikki Baker officiating. Interment Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forest Hills Center, 2841 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231. The family would also like to thank the caring staff of the Forest Hills Center and Tridia Hospice for the tender care they provided to Eva.
