Eveline Esther Gillenwater

Eveline Esther Gillenwater, age 89, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012. She was born in Columbus on July 2, 1922, to the late Louis and Bertha Eisman, and graduated from South High School. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Gillenwater; second husband, Daniel Gillenwater; brother, Nelson (Madelyn) Tibbets; and best friend and twin sister, Eleanor Maupin. Eveline loved to spend time with her sister, and the two played Bingo together every Friday night. She was a longtime member of Church of the Redeemer. Eveline dedicated her life to caring for her family, and she is survived by her children, William Gillenwater, Belinda Gillenwater, and Daniel Gillenwater; grandchildren, Bryan (Heidi) Gillenwater, Lindsey Bishop, Lisa Gillenwater, Jimmy Gillenwater, and Daniel Gillenwater II; nephews, Dennis and Jay; and several great grandchildren, including Nicholas and Adam. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery.
