Evelyn M. Casselli, born March 2, 1935, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on March 19, 2023. Evelyn was born in Piedmont, Ohio to Ralph and Grace Scott. She was raised in St. Clairsville, Ohio, graduating from St. Clairsville High School in 1952. She soon moved to Columbus where she worked as an Executive Secretary at Summer and Company before meeting her husband of 55 years, Joseph Casselli. She and her husband met while attending a Dale Carnegie class, “How to Win Friends and Influence People''. Evelyn continued her career and served as the breadwinner of the family for many years before becoming a beloved, cherished and indispensable, full-time homemaker. Evelyn worked alongside Joe in his financial planning business for some years. In later years, she served the Christ Child Society of Columbus, as well as numerous activities through her church, Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Evelyn was the living example of selflessness; caring for and serving others was her specialty. She was always there to provide a meal, a helping hand or an ear to listen. Her home was always a place of warm welcome, great food, family and laughter.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Joseph (as well as her brother Franklin Scott). She leaves behind three children, Michele (Bryce) Kurfees, Stephen (Melissa) Casselli, Jennifer (Bret) Riemenschneider; and eight grandchildren, Brennan, Anna (Blake), Lilly Kurfees, CJ (Hillary), Daniel (Alexa), Katie Casselli, Boe and Nic Riemenschneider; sister Mary (Bob) Davis; as well as 3 great grandchildren, with one on the way.
The family will receive visitors Thursday, March 23rd, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Schoedinger Northwest, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Upper Arlington, OH 43220.
