

Evelyn M. Friedman, born on April 12, 1924, peacefully went home to the Lord on December 20, 2017. A cherished mother, grandmother, and sister, Evelyn lived a long and rewarding life. Evelyn is survived by her three children, Michael, Anne and Stephanie; son-in-law, Jay; grandchildren, Kendal and Stephen; sister, Betty Jane Metz; brother, Roderick (Rosa) Metz; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Evelyn graduated nursing school in 1947. As a practicing RN, she joined the Navy and soon after met Arthur C. Friedman. Evelyn and Arthur were married in 1959. Evelyn dedicated her life to helping others, volunteering for numerous charities and community services. Because of her strength of character and uncommon wisdom, Evelyn was loved and adored by countless friends and family. Many depended on her strength and support in times of need. A natural cook, Evelyn's food was exquisite, delicious, and healthful. Evelyn will be remembered as a kind, gentle, and thoughtful human being. She will live in the hearts of those that she touched and through the stories that they recall. In memory of a life so beautifully lived, the family will receive friends on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 2-3pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221. A memorial service will immediately follow at 3pm.
