Everett wore many hats to many people, to his mom he was Junie, JR to most and junior to some,he was Everett to me and I was "little bit "to him. We had the greatest time in the 80's 90's, we were making memories that I now treasurer, I laugh when I think of all the places we ate, all the T shirts he bought and all the diet coke we drank,he use to say he never missed getting married because I had him do all the things that the "honey dew" husband would do. He was so good to my kids, and when I lost a son in 2003 it was Everett that came and stayed with me, never saying a word, just being there, he was such a good good man. My greatest memories were of us hanging out at the garage, talking cars and making dreams about his Vega, I think he is pretty happy right now, he talked alot about his dad when  we spoke last, it was pouring rain and I was in Kolhs parking lot and I  just felt the need to call him, we spoke for 2 hours and it was so good to talk about all his friends and how life has gone for everyone. I will miss him, he is  such a huge of my memories. I loved him as many people did. When I close my eyes and think of all the years and all the things we did, I feel so loved, and that is because of Everett.

I remember Jr. and his little cat naps he took at work and the great stories he told, They always made me laugh. All of us at Cols Pete will truely miss him, he was family and a friend. It seems so unfair to take such a great man that meant so much to so many people. I don't think he will ever realized how many lives he touched. He will always be in my heart, and we loved him more than he ever knew. Thanks for being a part of our lives, we were blessed to have you as a friend.

Wow, you left us too soon bud. You were the only man to ever stand me on a date. I still have your ticket to the Shadow Box in my closet. I will never forget the next day when you cussed for over an hour that you showed up but couldnt find a parking spot at Easton. You were a force to rekin with, but always the first to help a stranger or a friend. You were an angel on this earth to so many. Now you can watch over us all from above. The guys and I had coney dogs in your honor on tuesday and daggone I dont know how you ever ate 2-3 of them at once. R.I.P. Jr.

I loved Jr. He was a part of our family. He would be there on holidays, special occasions      or just  hanging around in the garage with my dad and me. He would participate in the family water fight and even go on vacation with us sometimes.  He would always have a great story about the old days and was never lost for words.  My favorite memory of Jr was when he stopped in at my work and told me of a  Goodguys car show at Charlotte Motor Speedway. We took off the next day in my 1940 Chevy and went down there. They let us take the car out on the track with a group of Street Rods. Jr drove and you would  have thought he was racing for the NASCAR championship. I can still remember looking for the brake pedal on the passenger side of the car. He loved cars and racing but he loved people even more. He always had a big heart and would do anything to help you out. He will be greatly missed by my family and me. I hate to see one of my childhood heroes go.

I first met Jr when I started working for Ted Schroeck in the 60's. He was one of many car guys that hung out at Schroeck's. The last time I talked to him was he was Bill Hart  at the Poor Mans Nationals two or three years ago.
I am very sorry to hear of his passing. He will be missed.
