Erza Warrens, age 97, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at home. Erza was born on December 8, 1926 in Wayland, Kentucky to Hawley and Caroline (Moore) Warrens. Erza proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII in the 22nd Troop Carrier Squad from 1945 -46. When he returned from the war he worked for the Elder Co. for 49 years and 8 months. He loved Cleveland Guardians baseball and Kentucky Wildcats basketball. Erza enjoyed taking care of his flower gardens and his family. Preceded in death by his wife, Noma Jean Warrens; son, Billy Ray Warrens; siblings, Hershel, Woodrow, Dallas, Audrey, Geneva, Foster and Ellis. Survived by his granddaughters, Tara Warrens (Phillip Rice) Alexa Warrens (Alexander Vidrick); along with many nieces and nephews; friends, Stuart and Betty Pullins; Linda Dent, Gary Sheppard and Shannon Rock. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024 from 4-6:00 pm at Advantage Funeral Home by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204 where funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 with Chaplain Ron Davis officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery.
