

Faye I. Farmer-Sedgwick,Born on June 6, 1942 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of retired Air Force Veteran, Lawrence Farmer and Ida Alberta Farmer. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Farmer, Alberta Farmer, her grandparents, Faye Johnson, Mary Canada, brother Lawrence Farmer, late husbands Ralph Sedgwick and John L. Cotner and son Marcus J. Cotner.
She leaves to mourn and will be greatly missed by her daughters, Ida Cotner-Common, Eliza Annette Cotner, Susan Cotner, Grandchildren, Phillip D. Dupree, Quintin T. Cotner, Zachary N. Common, Great Grandchildren, Nevea Dupree, Deziah Dupree, Damia Dupree and numerous loving relatives and friends.
Faye grew up in Chicago, IL and Gary Indiana and as a young adult, moved to Piqua, Ohio where she was raised by her grandmother and brought up in the church choir where she later married and moved to Columbus, Ohio. Later in her adult life she moved to Youngtown, AZ where she resided for 12 years before relocating back to Columbus, Ohio.
During her professional career she worked at Diamond Milk Company, Comtrac (Data Entry Supervisor-17 years) and as a phlebotomist (10 years) at Boswell hospital in Youngtown, AZ. Faye retired upon returning to Columbus, Ohio and volunteered at a neighborhood food pantry and Doctors North Hospital.
Faye had a great passion for arts, painting, pottery, and was an established organist player. She also had a variety of special pets throughout her life that she loved.
Our family would like to thank Pastor John Wallace for being a lifelong friend to our mother and Lily Skinner for being a devoted friend and neighbor.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation for all the love, kindness and thoughtful gestures that have been bestowed upon our family during this time of bereavement. God bless you.
