

Frances Robinson Ingwersen, 84 of Bexley, Ohio, passed away peacefully Friday, December 16, 2011. Frances was born in Barnesville, Ohio. She graduated from Barnsville High School in 1945. She attended Western College, Oxford, Ohio, from where she graduated in 1949. Frankie married Samuel E. Ingwersen in August, 1952. Frances was a professional Girl Scout, appointed Field Director of the Middletown Girl Scout Council. Frankie and her husband resided in Columbus for 58 years where her husband established his Professional Architectural Practice. Frances was a member of the Bexley United Methodist Church, Central Ohio Girl Scout Council, Jr. League of Columbus, Childhood League, Columbus Museum of Art, Bexley PTA, and the Assn. for Bexley Civic Development. Frankie was known as Mother Soccer around this proud soccer community. She was a lovely woman, wife and friend, and a most amazing mother. “God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers.” Her predeceased family are her parents, Amy Rogers Robinson and Frank Talmadge Robinson; son, Eric R. Ingwersen; brother, Thomas; brother-in-law, John Kirk; and niece, Robyn Kirk. She is survived by husband, Samuel; sons, John (Elizabeth), Daniel, Frank (Melissa); and grandchildren, Halden and Hamilton Ingwersen and Paige and Andrew Ingwersen; sister, Margaret Kirk, and sister-in-law, Margie Robinson; nephew, Gregg Robinson; nieces, Kristine Sokol, Melinda Moore, Martha Zavodsky and Trish Muench; and many sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews on her husband’s side. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, at the SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL, 229 E. State St., Columbus, Ohio. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, at the Bexley United Methodist Church, 2657 E. Broad St., Bexley, Ohio, where family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
