She is survived by her husband of 66 years, William Melnick, her son, Wade Melnick (Donna) , her grandchildren Ben, Nick, Alexandra, Casey, Chloe, Zayne, her sister Sandra Yuhasz, niece Kristi Gray and nephew David Yuhasz.
Fran was preceded in death by her son, Russel John Melnick.
She graduated from Homestead High School and worked as a statistical clerk for US Steel. In 1965, the family moved to Upper Arlington and resided on Barrington Road for the remainder of her good days taking care of family and enjoying her many good friends and neighbors.
The family is grieving in private, in lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation in her memory be made to Capital City Hospice.
