

Born on April 14, 1939, in Inez, Kentucky, to Leonard and Elizabeth Stepp. Frances lived a life that displayed a kind heart, hard work, and dedication to those around her. As a true entrepreneur, she alongside her husband built successful businesses that brought people together and created countless happy memories for family, friends, and members of her community.
Frances found joy in life's simple pleasures, taking nature walks and caring for her beloved husband. She had a warm and generous spirit, an easy laugh, and a remarkable ability to make others feel welcome and valued. Her kindness, compassion, and willingness to help anyone in need touched many lives.
Above all, Frances was a loving and devoted mother. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for the joy she brought to others, the love she shared so freely, and the lasting impact she made on everyone, fortunate enough to know her.
Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph William Russo; brothers, Jackie, EJ and Tony Stepp. Survived by her children, JoAnn Sage and Nick Russo (Sharon Ray); grandchildren, Aaron, Jacob, Kyle (Alex), and Angela Sage; great-grandson, Truman Sage; other relatives and friends.
Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of Frances on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43213. The service will include a time for her daughter, JoAnn, to share a few words honoring Frances' life and legacy leaves behind. Interment will follow the service next to her husband, Joseph.
