Frank was a devoted husband to Joanna (nee Dotter); beloved father of Christy (Greg) Christian, Frank (Christine), Mike (Amy); loving grandfather of Andrew, Abby, Patrick, Nathan, Dylan and Tyler. He was preceded in death by father Frank Sr., mother Nora (nee McFarland), and granddaughter Catie Christian. He is survived by siblings Patty, Rosemary Huffman, Mary Ann Cooney, Donna Huffman, Jim, Tom, Nora Hofmeister, Mary Taylor, John, Kathy White, and Debbie.
Frank will be remembered by long-time friends, colleagues, neighbors, and the residents of the Fairways community in GA. A graduate of The Ohio State University, he will forever be a Buckeye fan! His most significant personal achievements were his marriage of 52 years, his children and grandchildren, and his development of The Fairways at Savannah Quarters. Professional achievements include 40 years as an accomplished CPA at several firms, including his most successful CPA partnership with close family friend, Howard Geiss. In his retirement career, Frank became a real estate developer and found his true love in creating his legacy, The Fairways development, with his close friend and colleague, Gary Turnbull. Frank loved attending OSU games with Joanna and his children’s families. Grilling, golfing, travelling with family, and especially his beautiful salt water aquarium, were among the things near and dear to his heart. Frank, above all, was a mentor and provider for his entire family. There was never a challenge too great for him, including his battle against cancer, which ultimately proved to be his kryptonite. Frank was our Superman! Cliché, perhaps, but those of us closest to him, who are many, understand.
