

Frank Jordan Palka, age 75, passed away on January 7, 2011 in Columbus, Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Frankie Jean Palka; daughter, Veronica; brother, Anthony Palka, Sr.; and two grandsons, Michael and Daniel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Catherine (Szobak) Palka; sisters, Rose and Ann; brothers, Bernard, Martin, Michael, Stephen, Andy, Joseph, and Walter; and many nieces and nephews. Hailed from Hannastown, PA, Frank joined the United States Air Force in 1955 through 1962, worked at Westinghouse on the West side of Columbus and then, by the Grace of God, joined the Federal Government as a member of the Central Intelligence Agency. Gifted in Telecommunications, Frank served the U.S. Embassies in Costa Rica, throughout the Far East including Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines, Australia and finished his overseas duty in Kenya, Africa participating bravely in the Gulf War. Retired in 1995, Frank enjoyed golf, biking, playing with his grandsons and reciting decades of the Rosary at Holy Family Church in Columbus. His love for the Traditional Latin Mass was known by all. Family will receive friends Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Rosary said at 6 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus. The Latin Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Wednesday at Holy Family Church, 584 W. Broad St., Columbus, Fr. Kevin Lutz, Celebrant. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
