

Franklin “Jack” Carsey, age 75, of Gahanna, Ohio went to meet our Lord on April 11, 2011 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was born July 16, 1935 in Athens, Ohio to the late Harvey J. and Lillian E. (Wingrove) Carsey. He attended Lancaster High School and was a member of Carpenters Local #200. Jack was an active member of Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, where he was always a willing servant. He owned and operated Jack Carsey Builders, Inc. and was a loyal Buckeye fan. He loved being outdoors… whether golfing, fishing, hunting or simply relaxing on Tick Ridge, but nothing was as important to him as spending time with his family. Jack was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Belle Eing and infant brother Eugene Carsey. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Joyce (Holt) Carsey; sons, Michael (Brenda) Carsey of Huntersville, NC and Greg (Sue) Carsey of Waterford, OH; grandchildren, Justin (Erin) Tague of Clintonville, Cortnie Kitzmiller of Minneapolis, Daniel (Michelle) Carsey of Gahanna, David (fiancé Heidi Conaway) Carsey of Traverse City, Brandon Carsey of Athens, Brittany Carsey of Westerville, Ryan and Tyler Carsey of Waterford; great-grandchildren, Tristan and Evan Tague, Carissa and Caitlyn Carsey; brothers and sisters, James (Evelyn) Carsey of Marysville, Doris Sanders of Lancaster, Joe (Louise) Carsey of Gahanna and Shirley (Mike) Lowry of Gahanna; sister-in-law, Jackie (Ken) Loos of Kansas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who loved him very much. Funeral Service 11am Thursday, April 14, 2011 at SHEPHERD CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE, 425 S. Hamilton Rd., Gahanna, OH with visiting beginning at 10am; Pastors Tim Swanson and Bob Stewart, officiating; interment Mifflin Twp. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to Mt.
