

Frederick "Ted" Brackett Hill III, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Amber Park Assisted Living in Pickerington, Ohio. Born August 21, 1927, he graduated from Bexley High School and served in the United States Navy. Upon his return, he attended The Ohio State University and received his Bachelor's degree in 1950. Ted started his career at Yardley Venetian Blind Company and became President of four companies, Yardley Molded Plastics, Yardley Plastics, Miraplas Tile and Marble Cliff Concrete Products before retiring in 1982. He was a member of Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, Columbus Country Club, Scarborough East Tennis and Fitness Club, University Club, Swim and Racket Club (President), United Way, Mercator Club, Beta Theta Pi (Treasurer) and former Board member of the Ohio State Bank. Ted was an avid tennis player and ran the Gold and Silver Tennis Leagues at the Columbus Country Club for ten years. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, June Gardner Hill; father, Frederick B. Hill Jr; mother, Constance Doe Dubois; twin sister, Edith Hill; and sons, Bruce Tinker and Huston "Doc" Hill. He is survived by his children, Pamela Hill (Michael) Lorr, of Columbus, Steven (Crystal) Hill, of Lancaster, Joseph (Joi) Hill, of Chicago, IL, Ann (Thomas) Williams, of Plain City, Blythe (Carl) Turner, of Lancaster and Brenda (Terry) McMullin, of Hebron; brothers, James (Mary) Hill, of Santa Barbara, CA and Robert (Sonnia) Hill, of Ben Wheeler, TX; 21 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM Monday, May 14, 2018 at SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL, 229 E. State Street, where funeral service will be held at 11AM Tuesday, May 15, 2018. Rev. Dr. Jeffery Greenway officiating. Interment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home Instead Senior Care, 169 E.
