Frederick E. Spade

Frederick Elwood Spade, age 82, went home to be with the Lord on July 4, 2017 in Westerville OH. Frederick is predeceased by his parents; Lillie and Fred Spade and grandson; Benjamin Adam Martinez. Frederick is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Cherie Spade, brother; Jerry (Shirley) Spade, children; Jeff (Kathy) Spade, Bill (Keiko) Spade, Terri (Francis) Cheung, Sue (Scott) Nishizaki and Lisa (Aaron) Martinez, 17 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nephews; David (Amy) Spade and Phil (Lesley) Spade. Frederick graduated from Highlands High School, Ft. Thomas, KY in 1952. Following High School Frederick attended and graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1957 with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration and a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Xavier University in 1965. Frederick worked for the majority of his career as a CEO, Hospital Administrator for Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital in Oconomowoc WI. Frederick had many hobbies and pastimes including singing in the church choir, for many years as the choir director, researching family genealogy, playing golf, and cheering on his favorite Cincinnati Reds! Above all Frederick had a deep passion and love for the Lord. His unwavering faith was a rock for himself, his family and all who knew him. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Frederick's memory to Willow brook Christian Nursing Home. A celebration of life will be held Saturday July 22, 2017 at 1pm at Linworth Road Church, 5400 Linworth Rd. Columbus OH 43235. The family would like to invite and encourage everyone to wear something from one of Frederick's favorite sports team: Cincinnati Reds, University of Cincinnati, University of WI-Madison, Indianapolis Colts, or the Green Bay Packers.
