Fredrick J. Hastwell III, 72, of Worthington, Ohio, passed away on July 28, 2020. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio, on November 6, 1947 to the late Fredrick and Helen (Sabo) Hastwell II. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his son, Fredrick "F.J." Hastwell IV; siblings, Rich Hastwell and Beverly Fijewski; and his father-in-law, Harold Ramsay.
Fred was blessed with a wonderful life, surrounded by his wife Hannah of 52 years, their three beloved children, two wonderful sons-in-law, and their five adored grandchildren. Anyone who knew Fred knows how proud he was of his family. He was often found at the field, gym, rink and performances cheering on his active grandchildren, as he never missed a chance to root them on. He had the time of his life dancing the shag, traveling the world on a cruise, and pulling for the big jackpot with his cherished wife. To his daughters, he was a mentor, coach, handyman, counselor and guiding light. He taught them to be strong, educated, driven and to always have faith. Fred had the biggest heart and always put his family first. While it is too soon for us to say goodbye, we celebrate his life and know that he was welcomed into Heaven with a big bear hug from his dearly loved son F.J.
Fred will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Hannah; children, Heather (Matt) Evans and Whitney (Andy) Wilkinson; grandchildren, Jake and Delaney Evans, and Reagan, Riley and Garrett Wilkinson.
The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, August 1st, 2020 from 11AM until 1PM at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 North High Street. Masks will be required upon entry into the funeral home.
Fred's funeral service will be available to livestream starting at 12:55PM on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at https://webcasts.lifetributes.com/1081073
