Gary Michael Ball, age 76, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, with his family by his side. Gary was born on February 10, 1947, in Vinton, Ohio, to the late Landon Fonso Ball and Boots Wilmaline (nee Nunley) Ball. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a 100% Disabled Veteran. After his retirement from the U.S. Postal Service, he created and operated Hallelujah Transit, which helped improve the quality of life for many people by providing transportation to important medical appointments. Gary was a member of the Church of God. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Connie Sue Adams, and brother and sister-in-law Mickey Dare and Linda Ball. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth Jane Davis Ball, daughter Michelle (Pankaj) Patel, and son Mark (Reid) Davis-Ball, grandchildren Saajan Patel, Sonak Patel, and Elizabeth Davisball, sister Mary Ruth (Roger) Runyon, and many other relatives and friends. Per Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. His burial will occur at a later date at a family cemetery in West Virginia.
