Gary Wilson Chapman, 63, of Columbus, died Sunday, March 16, 2014 at home. He was born September 1, 1950 in Columbus to the late Dewey and Mary (Dardis) Chapman. He was a 1968 graduate of Franklin Heights High School and a U.S Navy Vietnam veteran. He was a member of American Legion Post #532. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by siblings Dewey W. Chapman Jr., Shirley McAllister and Mary Miller. Gary is survived by Brenda (DeLong) Chapman, his loving wife of 25 years, children Lisa Trott and Gary (Nancy) Chapman, siblings Sue (Leon) Banfield, Judy Garner and Dan (Karen) Chapman, 6 grandchildren; also numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 5-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St., where a funeral service will be held Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11 AM.
