Gary J. Lang

Gary John Lang went Home to be with Lord the Lord on Thursday, October 17, 2013. he was born on June 23, 1955 in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania to John Lang 1909-1975 and Margaret Pobicki Lang, 1915-1997. His father was born in Germany and his mother’s family came from Bratislava, Czechoslovakia. His ethnic background helped to make him an accomplished cook. He was an avid gardener and had a large garden of fruits and vegetables. Surrounding the garden was a large flower garden attracting hummingbirds, bees and birds. He spent mowing and trimming the lawn until it looked like a golf course. A protective brother and caregiver to his brother Allen Lang, he possessed a strong work ethic and was self motivated and a hard worker. He graduated from Highland High School in 1973 and attended Penn State University. He had a love of nature and animals and the outdoors and enjoyed the feeling of the wind in this face while riding his motorcycle, jeep and bike. Survived by his sister, Marion Lang Bernacki and husband Walter S. Bernacki; brother Allen J. Lang, with whom he made his home. Nephews: Dr. Walter L. Bernacki , wife Polly and children, Lauren and Walter, Dr. Brad L. Bernacki, wife Kimberly, children Haley, Benjamin and Alexis. He was employed by national Road Utility Supply, Inc in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania. Many thanks for your kindness and support. We would also like to thank all the staff at Worthington Christian Village of Columbus, Ohio for all that they did for Gary during the last few months, as well as all of the relatives and friends for all their kindness and help during this difficult time. At the request of Gary, there be no viewing, he has requested cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the donor’s choice in his memory. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum, Pennsylvania at a later date. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Bakerstown Road, Tarentum, Pennsylvania. Arrangements have been entrusted to Schoedinger Worthington Chapel.
