Gary L. Slagle, age 75, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Franklin Woods Health Care Center. Gary was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 7, 1941 to Elmer and Margaret Slagle. He worked many years in the sheet metal industry. Gary served his country proudly in the US Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Don Gentile Post # 532 and AmVets. Gary loved NASCAR and racing. He is an avid OSU football fan. In his younger years Gary enjoyed fishing. Preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Margaret Slagle; and sister, Sharon Graham. Survived by his close friends, Harold "Butch" McCall and Charlie (Josephine) Cantley; along with other relatives. Friends may visit Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 5-8 pm at the HOPE and HEART FUNERAL HOME by SCHOEDINGER, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio where funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, December 30, 2016. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
