Gavin R. Larrimer

Gavin R. Larrimer, age 86, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023. Gavin was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 24, 1936 to the late Lawrence and Evelyn (Branthaver) Larrimer. Also preceding him in death was his son Craig Larrimer; and sister-in-law Judy Larrimer. Gavin was a 1955 graduate of Upper Arlington High School. He earned his undergraduate and law degree from The Ohio State University. Gavin was a lawyer at Larrimer & Larrimer for over 50 years. Gavin was very active in volunteering his time with the Boy Scouts of America. He received the Silver Beaver Award which is the highest recognition a local Council can bestow upon a volunteer leader. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and always looked forward to the football and basketball seasons. Gavin loved spending time at their Greenbrier cottage in West Virginia. For the last 40 years Gavin especially enjoyed having lunch each Friday with his brothers and cousins. Gavin will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 58 years Alice (Hann) Larrimer; daughter Heidi Larrimer; son Scott (Erin Day) Larrimer; grandchildren Zoe and Owen Larrimer; brothers Brant Larrimer, Bruce Larrimer, Larry (Sharon) Larrimer, and Bob (Mary Tarantino) Larrimer; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:0pm on Friday, May 19, 2023 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, UA, Ohio 43221. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2001 Northwest Blvd, Columbus, Ohio 43212.
