George Adams

George Adams, Jr., age 71, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Doctors Hospital West. George was born on December 11, 1948 in Chicago, IL to George and Kathleen Adams. George was a veteran who proudly served our country in Vietnam in the US Army and a member of the VFW Post 3764. He retired from Columbus Public Schools Board of Education. George was the consummate family man. He was a wonderful dad and mentor to many. George was there to support you and help in any way that he could. He did so much and was so active that it is hard to sum it all up in a few words. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers and daughter, Rolonda Goodman. Survived by his wife of 49 years, Catherine Adams; children, Lisa Adams, Tonya Williams, Lamar Goodman and Merrilyn Goodman; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Amelia Crittenden, Burnell Fillyaw and Merrilyn Adams; many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 4-7 pm at Heart and Hope Funeral Home by Schoedinger, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204. Graveside service and interment will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 10:00 am at Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Ave., Columbus, Ohio.
