An entertainer, playing the banjo, guitar, and harmonica. Formerly a member of the Funky Four; most recently performed duets with wife, Shannon. George was very kind, generous, positive, and willing to help. He brought out the best in everyone and saw people for what they could achieve. He never wanted people to feel he wasted their time. The world will be a sadder place without George Baughman.
A gathering will be held Sunday, August 26, 2012 in the Grand Lounge at The Ohio State University Faculty Club, 181, S. Oval Dr., Columbus, from 1-3 p.m., with a service to honor George’s life beginning at 2 p.m., officiated by Rev. James M. Long of First Community Church.
