I knew George from Battelle and worked with George on and off over about a 15 year period or so, before  I retired. George was great to work with. He was professional and knowledgeable, often offering unique insights, and an invaluable contributor on the projects. But what really stood out about George is that he was always so pleasant to work with. He was consistently positive and friendly, routinely offering to do more than requested. George truly was just a  very special person, he made everyone feel better no matter what else might be going on. My condolences to his family.

George was a gentle giant.  He was the person most of us strive to be.  George was kind, loyal, committed, compassionate, caring, wise, faithful, humble and above all else - kind.  George was Northwest Kiwanis unelected photographer and historian - always eager to snap a photo with his phone.  George loved his Dorothy, daughters, grandchildren and Toby.   I will greatly miss our conversations on the Northwest Kiwanis soccer fields when the time went so fast-talking hours about nothing important - he was a great friend.  My condolences to his daughters, grandchildren and family.

George will be greatly missed here in our Trouville Community. George was an exceptional neighbor and friend who always had an upbeat demeanor and had only kind things to say about anyone and everyone. He was always welcoming to all and ready to pitch in and volunteer his time to help. 
I loved his sweet demeanor that always looked at life through the lens of “the glass is  half full rather than half empty”.
Truly, George was a joy to be around. He will
indeed be greatly missed. I am grateful
to have known him.

George was a true gentleman. He was sincere and had a great sense of humor. He was a servant of the church who took his responsibilities seriously. I will miss his kind interest in all of us. I treasure the memory of his saying,”I love you all” referring to his church family, when I saw him last. Well done, good and faithful servant!

Such a kind and gentle soul,who so loved his beloved Toby. I know he is waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge. Rest in Peace, you were one of the good guys!

George and I were Trouville Annual Car Show friends!  
George was always happy to bravely hop in the with this other ‘over-80 car guy’, cruise the neighborhood, squeal the tires one time at George’s request, and catch up on whatever happened in our lives during the previous year.  We both looked forward to it.  
Whatever the vagaries of life, George was always up-beat and positive.  And he always enjoyed the ride!
Happy travels, George! We will miss you!

George I will always cherish our friendship  and fun  car trips to scenic towns in Ohio .
I am very grateful  to have known you and enjoyed your sharing  many wonderful stories of your friends and family.

I will always appreciate your kindness and thoughtfulness. So blessed to have had your friendship. You are truly a very special man and will be sadly missed.

George will be missed by his many friends including Sue Birkhold and  Daughter, Belinda Kimble.  We enjoyed the many times we spent with George whether it was going to dinner or just spending time with him.  He accomplished so much and gave off his time to help others as evidenced by his membership in charity organizations.  We LOVE you and  will greatly miss you!  Our condolences to the family!

George was one of the best bosses I ever had. Such a sweet, nice, caring man! I will miss you at the Lunch Bunch get-togethers

George was George......nothing more, nothing less.....what you saw was what you got.....first to volunteer,  there to guide, not dictate,  loved his family and his Toby,  cared about others, but did not want others to worry about him.....always wanted a neighbor like George  and Dot, beyond grateful I had the opportunity to accomplish that.
