

George Warner passed away on August 1, 2018 in Reynoldsburg, Ohio surrounded by family. Born November 30, 1929 to the late John Elmer Warner and Maude (Turner) Warner in Columbus, Ohio at his residence 1583 S. Fourth St. George proudly served his country in the Army from May 8, 1951 until April 29, 1953 with an honorable discharge. He loved to play golf, a big OSU fan, bowling, drag racing with his son, and NASCAR. He graduated from Grandview High School in 1948 where he played softball. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Elmer (Bessie), Bill (Ina), and Bob (Mary); sisters, Betty (Warner) Holcomb and Bertha Mae (Jack) Weate of California. He is survived by his beloved Jennie Warner, wife of 63 years; son, Gary Warner (Cindy Ford); daughters, Patty Young (Robert D.) and Sandy Warner; four grandchildren, Burton Davis of Walnut Cove, North Carolina, Lindsay Warner (Clint Evans), Robert Young, and Miranda Warner; and nephews, James Warner (Clarice) and family of Baltimore, Ohio, Allen and Johnny Weate of California; and niece, Linda (Bill) Mahitka. Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 2:00PM-5:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43232 where funeral service will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 10:00AM. Elder Jor-El Godsey officiating.
