Gerald Raymond Hoffman, 82, of Columbus passed away at home on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. He was born in Columbus on October 1, 1934 to the late Lawrence L. and Dorothy D. (Bower) Hoffman. Jerry retired from TWA after 40 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Hoffman. Jerry is survived by his childhood sweetheart and loving wife of 63 years, Karlene Hoffman; children, Devany (Tom Crable) Hoffman, Jerrilynn Hoffman, and Brad (Orbetta) Hoffman; grandchildren, Ashlee Hoffman, Heather (Chuck) Caroll, Paige, Nick, Ryleigh, and Carter; sister, Louellen Parkinson; brothers, Jim (Bonnie) Hoffman, and Bill (Marilyn) Hoffman; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 2-5 Sunday, February 12th at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Private interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
