

Gerald Clifford “Cliff” Shuster passed away November 14 following a brave fight with cancer. He was born in Lima, Ohio to Gerald and Jeanette Shuster on Dec. 6, 1948. He graduated from Akron Firestone High School and attended the University of Akron and Columbus State Community College. He served in the U.S. Army 1969-1971. He retired from the State of Ohio where he worked with the Foster Grandparent Program. He enjoyed playing bass guitar and saxophone in his band for 30 years, golf, fishing and having fun. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Craig. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Kastner; sons Gerald A. and Jonathan (Jacqueline) and their mother, Beverly, Tampa, Florida; grandchildren Andrew and Annabelle; sister-in-law Mary Shuster and many cousins and friends. Calling hours will be from 3-7 pm. at SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL, 229 E. State St. on Friday, November 18. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church, 2314 E.
