Glady Ourant

Gladys I. Ourant, 96, of Upper Arlington, passed away May 5, 2025, at Riverside Hospital. Glady attended Office Training School in Columbus, where she met her husband, Bob. She worked as a medical secretary before dedicating her life to creating a loving home and raising a family. After Bob retired, they traveled extensively. She was a longtime member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Glady was a quietly joyful and loving person who made everyone she met feel seen and valued.

She is survived by her daughters, Kim (Doug) Halsey and Kay (Bill) Olson; grandchildren, Jenny (Ryan McGowan) Halsey and Karen (Sean Kuhn) Halsey; and Bobby and Maggie Olson; brother, Sidney Wilson, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob, sisters, Jewell and Helen, and brother, Bill. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church or Mid-Ohio Food Collective. There will be a private interment at Union Cemetery.
