
Gladys O. Vance, age 100 was born on October 18, 1909 in London, Ohio and passed away on October 28, 2009. Preceded in death by beloved husband, Dale Vance. Survived by numerous great nieces and nephews, lifelong friend, Freda Ross and God-daughter, Marilyn Jean Hyatt. A lifelong fan of the Columbus Clippers and named a “Clippers Granny” because she attended games loyally since 1934. Thanks to Norm Hively for his friendship and many visits. Bill and Randi Cohen for making sure that she could attend Clippers games in her later years. Debbie Presutti and Lynn Schmidt were her loving “adopted” daughters. Thanks for all of the loving care that she received from the staff at Summit’s Trace (formerly Lutheran Village of Columbus) and the staff of Zusman Community Hospice. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Summit’s Trace Health Care Center. Chaplain James Jensen officiating. Private interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. Arrangements by Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel.
