

Glenn E. Davis Jr., age 68 of Grove City passed away January 5, 2017 with his wife at his bedside. He was born in Jacksonville, FL March 28, 1948 to the late Glenn and Virginia Davis. Glenn spent most of his life in Orange Park, FL and later moved to Baxley, GA where he became best friends with Ricky Crow, William (Fig) Newton, and Bunny and Marty. He worked as an electrician and was a member of IBEW #177 in Jacksonville. He also worked as an airplane mechanic at NAS JAX. After moving to Grove City OH four years ago he joined the American Legion Post #164. Glenn’s passion was flying and riding his Harley until his illness. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister-in-law Karen Davis. He is survived by his wife Linda of Grove City; brother Randall (friend Carla) Davis, nephews Chad (Jenny), Jessie, and Brandon Davis; niece Nicole Davis, all of FL; step-daughter Candice (Steve) Gray and Children Brandon and Briann all of FL; Step-son Mark (Lisa) McCollough and step-grandson Chad ; Step-son Todd (Lori) McCollough and step grandsons Ben, Luke, and Max; step-son Patrick (Sherry Gray) Beaver and sons Cody and Nicholas; step-son Nick (Delora) Beaver and their children Cory and Cami, and step-great grandchildren Kaleb and Christopher. Glenn’s’ last selfless act was donating his body to OSU. He said, “ If they can help find a cure for Parkinson’s and dementia that would be wonderful.” A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Wesley Fellowship United Methodist Church 5400 Pearl St, Jacksonville, FL 32278.
