

Glenn Post died on February 6, 2011 after a long illness. Glenn was born on March 4, 1920 at home in Bloody Run, which is near Corning, Ohio. As a youth, Glenn came to Columbus where he spent most of his adult life. Glenn and his wife Audrey lived 54 years on Fisher Rd. Glenn and Audrey celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary before Audrey died in 2003. Glenn is survived by daughter, Sue “Susie Post” Lancaster; son-in-law, Blake Lancaster; grandson, Blake M. Lancaster; granddaughter-in-law, Jodi Schmaltz; great-grandson, Blake Lloyd Lancaster; and a niece and nephews. Glenn is preceded in death by wife, Audrey; parents, Denzil and Maude Post; brother, Orville; niece, Dana Dungee; and granddaughter, Laura E. Lancaster. Family, friends and neighbors will remember Glenn for his love of golf, football and race horses. He started to caddy as a teen and played golf until his 80's. He even is on record as getting a hole in one at Raymond Memorial. In addition to golf, Glenn played football from the time he was eight until he was 25. He loved watching football too (OSU of course). At age 21, Glenn and his dad bought a race horse which began a 40 year career as a race horse trainer and jockey's agent at Beulah Park and many of the Ohio tracks. During his career Glenn mentored Dr. Robert Copelan, who after graduating from Ohio State University became a distinguished veterinarian and joint surgeon for many famous race horses. A visitation will be held on Saturday (2/12) from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p m. at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad St. A graveside service will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
