CARPENTER
Gordon William “Butch” Carpenter, age 67, of Grove City, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 2, 1944 to the late James and Hazel (Williams) Carpenter. Butch was a graduate of Groveport Madison High School and served in the United States Marines Corps. He was a member of the American Legion Post #164 in Grove City. Butch also loved fishing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Carpenter. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Frances Carpenter; daughter, Karen (Chris) Blankenship; grandchildren, Donovan Carpenter and Holly Blankenship; sister, Barbara Lemack; and several nieces and nephews.
