Gordon Bradford Gaines, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at the age of 92. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Daisy; brother, Vernon Gaines and sister, Ruth "Peaches" Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Emily Joe Clepper; daughter, Jane Bruce Gaines, brother, Kade Gaines, nieces, nephews and cousins, great friends and neighbors. Gordon was a WWII Army veteran with the 26th Infantry Division and he retired as a Physicist from Battelle Memorial Institute after 37 plus years of service. He was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church and an avid golfer. Family will receive friends Monday, February 29, 2016 from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL 6699 N. High St. Worthington, OH 43085. Reverend Katy Wheat officiating with interment to follow at Union Cemetery.
