

Grace Spray Walters, age 95 passed away at home on Monday, December, 2011. She was born in the beautiful hills of Doddridge County West Virginia on January 20, 1916 to the late Elsworth and Myrtle Spray. The family moved to Granville in 1925 where she attended school, graduating from Granville High School in 1934. She entered White Cross Hospital School of Nursing in 1940 and received her R.N. She was a member of the Summit United Methodist Church, Riverside-White Cross Alumni Association and the Riverside Methodist Hospital sewing guild. She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, George “Em” Walters; siblings, Mildred Spray Parker, Richard L. Spray, and John E. Spray. She is survived by her children, Karen Walters Gardner, Kristine (Sherman) Walters Frost, and George Kent (Debra Lynn) Walters; grandchildren, Gail Frost Venrick, Andrew L. Frost, Amanda Frost Hamilton, Lisa Marie Walters and Jennifer Lynn Walters; great grandchildren, Tanner D. Venrick and Jayda D. Hamilton; sisters, Violet Spray Postle, Sybil Spray Robertson and Jean Spray Landis; and sister-in-law, Alice Spray. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Summit United Methodist Church, 82 East 16th Ave., Columbus Pastors April Blaine and Grayson Atha officiating.
