Grant David Adams

Grant D. Adams, age 83, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the Bickford of Bexley. He was born on May 17, 1937 in Newfoundland, Canada to the late Henry and Eva (Randell) Adams. Grant moved to the United States with his family as a young boy and became a naturalized citizen. He served in the U.S. Navy as a medic during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He retired from the State of Ohio Bureau of Employment Services. Grant was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Groveport for over 20 years; his greatest passion was his love for God . He enjoyed fishing and watching baseball especially the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians. In addition to his parents, Grant was preceded in death by his brother, James Adams. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Marilyn (Phillips) Adams; daughter, Kisha (Stephen) Smith; granddaughter, Rachel Smith; sister, Elizabeth (Don) Smith; sisters-in-law, Myra (David) Wilde and Linda Phillips; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am January 9, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Groveport, 5521 Groveport Rd, Groveport, OH 43125.
