Greg was born on August 3, 1944, in Groveport, Ohio, to Florence and Ray Moore. He proudly served in the U.S. Army with the National Security Agency and went on to graduate from The Ohio State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Greg dedicated his entire professional career to the City of Columbus Division of Water, where he was respected for his knowledge, dedication, and quiet dependability.
Greg was a true do-er. He was happiest when he was busy building, fixing, creating, or simply enjoying the outdoors. His cabin near Logan, Ohio, held a special place in his heart. He was a man of many interests - a crossword enthusiast, lover of the dulcimer and folk music, natural science, dogs and corny jokes.
Greg is survived by his sister, Gretta Ware; daughter, Megan Moore; his son, Brandon Moore (Marcella), and stepdaughter Katy Lasher (Ben). He was a proud grandfather to Jazmine, Caleb, Sophia, Hayden, Izzy, Hester, and Abe. He will also be deeply missed by his extended family and friends who were fortunate to know and love him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Ray Moore; his brother, Jerry Moore; and his brother-in-law, Doyle Ware.
Greg leaves behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, creativity, and love. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
