Gretchen Marie Smith

Gretchen M. Smith, age 44, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, February 19, 2016. She was born on January 30, 1972 in Columbus, Ohio to William Smith and Naomi (Porter) Smith. Gretchen worked for Dealer Supply North. She loved animals and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Gretchen will be remembered for being selfless, honest and making people laugh. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl and Winona Porter; Tom and Mable Smith; and Uncle James Porter. Survived by her mother, Naomi Smith; father, William Smith; brother, W. Kevin Smith; best friend and cousin, Lisa Porter; nephews, Craig and Dylan Rankin; uncle Carl Jr. (Cathy) Porter; other family and friends. Family will receive friends 5-8 pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio where funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
