Guy Nelson Tolliver

Guy N. Tolliver, age 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Guy was born on May 17, 1924 and was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kathleen and grandson, Samuel Tolliver. The era of five generations of Tollivers ended with his passing. He is survived by children, Bob (Lynn), Jackie (John) Studebaker, Sandie (John) Talbot, Tom and Cathie (Doug) Hobson; 16 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Guy and Mary provided their love and home to grandsons Guy III and Michael as well as granddaughter Jodi. In 1952 Guy co-founded and was president of Tolliver and Curl Paving Contractors, Inc. He continued his amazing work ethic of working 7 days a week for the next 66 years. He was friend, mentor and "good guy" to many in the Columbus area construction industry and throughout Central Ohio. As one competitor remarked "He was Chairman of the Columbus Asphalt Community." We can hear him now saying "Take the over and the points." His family would like to thank the staff of Doctors Hospital for his care and comfort.
