Gwendolyn Brofford

Gwendolyn “Gwen” Brofford, age 75, of Pataskala, OH passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was born January 10, 1935 to the late George and Iva Hopkins; also preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Virgil H. Brofford II and Margaret Brofford. She and her husband of 59 years, Virgil H. Brofford, owned and operated Brofford and Son Sodding Company for many years. She is also survived by her children, Valerie (Richard) Root, Sheila Plunk, Jeffrey Brofford and Keith (Beth) Brofford; grandchildren, Edward Holsinger, Melissa Myers, Eric Brofford, Dana Brofford, Kyle Brofford, Jason Cordle, Stacy Garguilo, David Cordle and Dustin Brofford; great-grandson, Austin Myers. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 where services will be held Thursday at 12noon; Pastor Harold Stiffner, Jr. officiating; interment Mifflin Twp. Cemetery.
