Harold “Dean” Conley, age 64, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010. He was born April 15, 1946 in Paintsville, Kentucky. Dean spent the majority of his life in Columbus, Ohio where he attended Ohio State University. After graduation he enlisted in the Navy and then served seven (7) terms as a State Representative for Ohio. He was instrumental in passing 60 laws and was considered the “Father” of 911 emergency response. He is survived by his son, Adam Conley, mother, Melba Martin Conley, and brother, Bill Conley. He was preceded in death by his father, Eucker Conley. His family will receive friends on Friday, May 21, 2010 from 5-8 pm at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 West Broad St. where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 22. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
