

Rev. Dr. Harold Davidson, age 93, of Upper Arlington passed away on August 18, 2021, He was born at his grandfather's farm on September 13, 1927. He grew up in Grandview Heights and graduated from Grandview High School in 1945. He was a graduate of Otterbein University, held a Master's Degree in Psychology and Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. He graduated from Union Theological Seminary in New York City and received a Doctor of Ministry Degree from the Methodist Theological Seminary in Delaware, Ohio.
He served 55 years in Ministry both as Pastor and Chaplain, as Pastor at Avondale and Como Evangelical United Brethren Churches and was Chaplain at both Buckeye Youth Center for 32 years and at Buckeye Boy's Ranch for 15 years. After retirement, he also served for 20 years on the Pastoral Staff of Northwest United Methodist Church in Upper Arlington. ·
His interest was in travel and history. He visited all 50 states and visited 26 countries. He had a special interest in the Civil War with a library of some 350 books on the Civil War and had visited many of the battlefields of the war.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Maurine (Brown) Davidson and his sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Joseph VanAtta. He is survived by his nieces, Joellen (Richard) Simpson and Jerilee (Charles) Lausch; many great nieces and nephews; and many other extended family members, including Mary (Alex) Lara and Trey (Jonelle) Archambeault and their children, Riley and Ryker.
