

Harold Rettstatt, born February 19, 1938 in Delta, Ohio, went home to meet his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday morning October 21, 2021. Harold was preceded in death by his loving wife Janet. He was also loved by many including his son, John (Tracy Burby) and their children, John, Jacob, Audrey, and Bridgette; son, Doug (Abby Winkler) and their children, Luke, Shirley, Mark, David, Tommy, and Annie; and son, Jeff (Cheri Sowards) and their children, Michael, Cole, and Lily; daughter, Jennifer Hartshorn (Todd) and their children, Haleigh, Payton, and Thad; sister in law, Marcia Seibel Rohrs (Dan); brother in law, Bill Seibel (Jerilyn Rogers); and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives. Harold was also preceded in death by his parents Carl and Esther Rettstatt and his brother Charles Rettstatt and his wife Mary Lou. Harold was a devoted Christian husband and father. He was a talented architect and a founding partner of Design Group Architects + Planners, where he worked for 30+ years. A devout Christian, his true passion was studying the Bible and ministering to others through leadership, friendship and discipleship. He was a member and elder at the Grace Polaris Church for several decades and was involved in too many ministries to list. Harold enjoyed golfing with friends, family and colleagues. He also took great joy from watching his grandchildren participating in sports, theatre and music. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Grace Polaris Church, 8225 Worthington-Galena Rd., Westerville.
