Harold Glenn Ritter

Harold was born August 28, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio, to Ruth Ann (Timpson) and Ralph M. Ritter.

He attended Central High School. He spent the next 4 and a half years working to support his family prior to joining the U.S. Army. After his service, he worked at North American Rockwell Aviation (AKA Boeing) and Triplex in Newark, Ohio. He was married 63 years to Wilma (Jacob) Ritter, who preceded him in death on January 19, 2016. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards with family and friend,s and rooting for the Buckeyes.

He is survived by children Sandy Heaberlin, Connie (Craig) Kulow, Russ (Sue Stretton) Ritter and Barb (Craig) Drozd; grandchildren Erick Drozd, Trevor Drozd, Connie Chapa, Kelli (Roger) Youngpeter; great grandchildren Ryan, Reese, Ellie, Cammie, Dylan, Blake and Dustyn; sister Clara (Bill) White; brother Charles Ritter; sisters-in-law Kathryn (Sheldon) Ritter and Beth (Hank) Carroll; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family including Leesa (Sam) Stephan, Terry (Bob) Ball and cat Peanut.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by son-in-law John Heaberlin; grandson Jason Kulow; brothers Howard, Lloyd, Stanley, Sheldon and Leroy and sister Thelma (Joe) Kensinger.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 12PM to 1:30PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna with a funeral service held at 1:30PM. Burial will follow at Mifflin Cemetery.
