

Helen L. Cochran, age 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 4, 2017. She was born June 16, 1929 in Cleveland, West Virginia to the late Arthur R. and Hazel Mae (Ferrell) Wade. Helen was a devoted Christian who was a member of First United Methodist Church of Buckhannon, West Virginia, attended the Vineyard Church of Delaware County, Ohio and more recently enjoyed watching John Hagee on television. She was a fantastic cook who enjoyed dinners with her loving family. Helen enjoyed Sunday family dinners at Cindy and Joes, loved Cary Grant Thursday night movie dinners with John and "Singing in the Rain" with Erin. Family vacations at the beach and eating oysters brought much joy. She was a voracious reader and Downton Abbey fan. Mom was a wonderful, kind mother and Nannan who "didn't keep books." She was an avid football fan rooting on her Ohio State Buckeyes and the West Virginia University Mountaineers. Helen enjoyed shopping online, giving gifts to all her family and working her puzzle books. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Aaron V. Cochran, who she married on July 4, 1948 and her loving son, Keith V. Cochran. Helen is survived by loving children, Cindy (Joe) Szabo and John P. Cochran; beloved granddaughter, Erin (Fiance' Justin Cox) Szabo and sister, Carol Carter. Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 6-7:30 p.m. where family reflections will take place at 7:30 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229.
