Helen Maxine Arnold Diffendal

Helen Maxine Arnold Diffendal passed away peacefully on July 17, 2014. She was born December 13, 1920 in Jeffersonville, Ohio to the late Ater Milton Arnold and Della Forest Edge Arnold; also preceded in death by her stepmother Laura Heath Arnold; loving husband John M. Diffendal; brothers, Kenneth "Bill" Arnold, Wm. Loren Arnold, Everette M. Arnold, Willard "Tom" Arnold; sisters, Frances Arnold Sauer Schmidt, Garnet Faye Arnold Leach, Martine Arnold Marburger, Bernice A. Arnold, Dorothy Arnold Hines Stewart and son-in-law Bruce "Mike" VanBuskirk. Surviving are children, Barbara J. VanBuskirk, Roger L. Diffendal, Kathleen (Bill) Murch and Doris A. (Mike) Funk; grandchildren, B. Michael (Tammy) VanBuskirk, Brad M. (Stacey) VanBuskirk, Traci L. (Scott) Richendollar, Wm. John Murch, Irvin Roy (Amy) Funk, E. Justin Funk and Lisa Jo Diffendal; great-grandchildren, Eddie (Rebekah) VanBuskirk, Carmen E. VanBuskirk, Aubri A. VanBuskirk, Bradi J. VanBuskirk, Chiya L. VanBuskirk, Jonathan R. Murch, Jacob Murch, Kelsey L. Funk, Quentin R.M. Funk, Chloe J. Funk, Peyton Richendollar, Tre Thomas, Tiairra Thomas, Darrien Lee, Jalynn Lee, Daezhar Lee, Jakarri Ames and Josie Ames; great-great-grandchild, Eli Samuel VanBuskirk; several nieces, nephews and friends. Family will welcome friends from 10-11am Monday, July 21, 2014 with service beginning at 11am at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E. Main St., Circleville, OH 43113; interment to follow at Springlawn Cemetery; Dr. Doyne Wiggins officiating. Helen was a member of the Williamsport United Methodist Church in Williamsport. Her family would like to express a special "thank you" to Berger Hospice, Chaplain Jim Ferrell and to the staff of Logan Elm Health Care Center for the wonderful care given to Helen and the concern shown for her family during Helen's illness. Also a special "thank you" to Brown Memorial Home for the wonderful care given to Helen in the past year.
