Last in her generation, Helen Farrar, went home on May 2,2026. She was a fierce advocate for all her children, who all attended college. She was a champion for friends and family in need. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe, and Gladys; siblings Lester, Betty, William, and Gladys; and children William, Jamie, and George. She is survived by her daughters Gladys Gibbs and Betty Chestnut (James); grandchildren Jenifer, Serena and Erin and granddaughter Eleanor. She is also survived by her bonus family Lori Enders and Trevor as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was greatly loved and will be missed. A celebration of her life is scheduled at Schoedinger, Northwest, 1740 Zollinger Rd, Columbus 43221 on 06/16/2026 from 11 AM to 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers please plant a tree or donate to the United Negro College Fund in her name.
